A Chance Encounter in the Woods

I received a small grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to make this short animation. it took about one year to make. I made it at my home studio, with no assistants, except for the final compositing [many thanks to my dear friend Malcolm Sutherland] and the sound foley and mix, by Kandis Frieson. The soundtrack is by Paper Boots, a trio band formed by my husband Leon Lo, myself and our good friend Antoine Lafontaine, when we were living in Tokyo, Japan. The song used for this film, Duck Tango, was composed and recorded a good two years before I even thought of making A Chance Encounter...The fact that it fit the final film perfectly still astounds me to this day.
'A Chance Encounter in the Woods' was shown at the Canadian Pavillion at The Shanghai World Expo 2010
